Meghan is a 17 year old junior at Sultana High School (class 2005) in Hesperia where she lives with her mom and brother. After graduating form Sultana, she wants to attend UC Davis majoring in marine biology and eventually working at Sea World in San Diego. Meghan enjoys barrel racing, training barrel horses, riding dirt bikes, as well as riding in rodeos as a rodeo queen. Meghan was the 2002 Hesperia Rocking Bar H. Jr. Queen. She competed for titles of Jr. Miss Rodeo Grubstake Days and Jurupa Rodeo Junior Queen, where she walked away with first runner up titles. During her experiences as both queen and contestant, she has make many new and lasting friendships. Her closest friend of all is her 6-year old-old quarter horse gelding, Bud-who she trained from a yearling. Meghan would like to extend a personal thank- you to all of the people that have helped her over the years: The Nuckols' Family, Kathy Stapp, Josh Thompson, Amber's Saddlery Repair, A-Tech Transmission, Zach Dikestrah, Steve Beard, J&K's Feed, Hesperia Vet Supply, the Axelrod Family, Luis Discount Feed, Home Loan Mortgage Corp. and last (but certainly not least) he mom, Tami Purtle for all of her love and support.
