The 2003 Barstow Rodeo Stampede was simply "THE BEST". It seems rodeo in Barstow is like fine wine,"it just gets better with age". The 2003 Barstow rodeo Staampede saw over 300 contestants, the Honeycutt rodeo stock was better than ever and crowds came in record numbers. The men and women of professional rodeo did not disappoint, but in fact, thrilled the crowds with great scores and times. Rachelle Maloney was queen of barrel racers, Mark Weishoff took bareback honors, Austin Manning won the big man's event (steer wrestling), Ryan Siemsen roped the tie down title, David Howard was best in saddle bronc, the team of Paul Mullins and Dugan Kelly took team roping with a time of 5 seconds flat and Evan Mathews excited the crowd while winning the bull riding title.
2003 was the best ever----BUT WAIT UNTIL 2004!!!
