The Barstow Rodeo Stampede was founded in 1988 by a group of local residents to ensure the integrity of our western heritage. Starting in the 1940's, rodeo in Barstow was a recreational event until the rodeo grounds were destroyed by fire in the 1950's. Barstow rodeo was reborn in September 1988 as the Barstow Rodeo Stampede.

Honeycutt Family Rodeo
Honeycutt Family Rodeo is truly a family affair! Roy and Virginia Honeycutt of Alamosa Colo. started it all in 1976, but now mom and dad are joined by daughter Janet, sons Jerry and Scott, daughter-in-laws Verla and Dawn, grandsons Til,Orrin and Dawson. Jerry was married in September 2002 and another Honeycutt was added to their rodeo business.
Roy is very proud of his rodeo stock and he makes sure that each rodeo he supplies receives the 'Best of the Best' in calves, steers, broncs and bulls.
Ray puts on rodeos in many cities in the Western United States and conducts two weekly rodeos in Durango Colorado.
